Hope you all have had a fun weekend. And for those living in USA, I hope you all have had a great Memorial Day holiday. I did! My husband and I just spent the last five days with family in bay area (near Oakland-San Francisco) and it was wonderful. It rained the day we arrived last Friday, but things cleared up, just for us


For those who are members of the Painters’ club , you must have read the club journal, announcing me as the new addition to the club. Yes, I’m now the “club helper” Actually, I was supposed to come on board almost two years ago. Due to private issues at home, at that time, I had to postpone my offer to help until now.
The club is getting quite popular with over 1,600 members. I used to not understand why the club was so slow in uploading members’ submissions. Now I could see clearly why. There’s just too much work and `arwenita has been single handedly doing a marvelous volunteer job. It is unfair she got blamed, at times, by impatient members. Some members are themselves … part to blame for not following the club’s rules when sending in their works. The rule requires that the submissions must include works’ title, size and medium used, namely, oil, acrylics, watercolors and ink. Some just sent in their links, with no mentioning of anything else. That requires `arwenita to either write notes, asking for those info or to look up herself if those info are listed under the artists’ works. That is extra work for her precious time. She has to also answer mail and do million other things to keep the club going. Now that we know, we should appreciate her and not complain.

I hope my help will speed up the club's works uploading a bit. But please do not expect that works you sent in last week will show up any time soon, since there is a back log of many hundreds submissions and still growing And yes, it is first come first served
