when it was small the rider looked like a halo character
A very good first time. Horses are very complicated, and I think you captured them wonderfully. Very nice.

Stunning painting! I thought this was a photo in the thumbnail. Very beautiful colors!

My, my, it's very well done, the colour of the horse and the shine on him, looks like the photo itself:clap:

Well done, Milbisous. You are so diligent.
Wow! Courageous!
The head is the best feature, the chest looks a bit off and the legs are a bit too solid for a racehorse, but otherwise not a bad first attempt at painting a very difficult subject! (I know what I'm talking about: I've got tons of reference material on horses..... but I never got up the courage to paint them!) So: Chapeau!!!

Just one thing, as I know you don't ride and probably aren't familiar with equestrian sports: In your place I would have kept the race track background. The number cloth on the horse, the goggles and the jockey's crouch make it clear that this is a race or at least training for a race, and you don't do that in a meadow or field. And nobody in their right mind would ride cross-country just for fun with shortened stir-ups like that... unless they wanted to break their neck!
So, a race track would really be the (only) appropriate background for this scene.
