Chinese Concubine

I threw a small bowl in order to build a...fat figure around it. But then, inspired by a Chinese painting of a Chinese lady sitting on a porcelain stool, an idea struck me.
With just a photo, plus the fact that I did not have much free time, I admittedly doubted my ability to succeed. I did not follow the painting exactly; the outfit is different and the design on the dress my own. To my surprise, my rush work came out not bad. I would have loved it more, had I spent more time on the details, especially the dress folds.
Nonetheless, this has given me hope for any ceramic projects in the future.
